CPR Course

This three hour course is designed to give participants the skills and confidence to help a patient who has stopped breathing.  The course largely comprises practical scenario work which is both instructor and peers assessed.

  • Choking procedures - adult / child infant
  • Heart attack signs and symptoms

Each participant is provided with a comprehensive CPR leaflet (8 pages) which serves as an up to date quick-reference guide for CPR procedures.

NZQA Credits


The Unit Standard associated with this course is:
  • 6402 - Provide resuscitation level 2 (level 1, 1 credit)
We can register this credit on your NZQA Record of Learning, if you provide us with your NZQA number.  If you do not yet have an NZQA Record of Learning, we can tell you who to contact for this.

Scheduling and booking

We offer Basic Life Support (CPR) courses every Tuesday and Thursday as well as on Tuesday evenings and Saturdays. All scheduled courses are listed on our timetable. The Basic Life Support (CPR) course runs from 8:30 to 11:30am. Group bookings on alternative days are welcome. Please email us to make a booking or contact us for more information.
 

Course fee

The fee for the Basic Life Support course is $55. Course costs include a comprehensive CPR leaflet and morning tea. We offer a $10 prompt payment discount, which reduces the course fee to $45. This discount applies if payment is received 5 days before the course date.
