In collaboration with Frans van de Weerd, a well-known expert in homeopathy, we have developed this new course, which is taking First Aid to a new level by integrating homeopathy into the traditional treatments of injuries and accidents.
Frans (BA Physiotherapy, Dip Homeopathy, Craniosacral Therapist, Bowen Therapist) is a hands on Physiotherapist and Homeopath with over 20 years experience in the health industry who integrates the best out of mainstream and complementary medicine. This new course is underpinned by our belief that traditional and non-traditional forms of medicine compliment one another, and thus can be safely and successfully applied in emergency and first aid situations.
This course is recognised by OSH as a Workplace First Aid course
and accredited by the NZQA. It is designed to motivate and equip a person with the skills necessary to be a confident first responder in a variety of situations. Each situation is individually detailed, beginning with traditional first aid and followed by the appropriate homeopathic treatment, including how much, how often and when to discontinue remedies.
The skills learnt during this course can be used it in everyday situations at home, at work, on the sports field and on holiday - for yourself, your family and friends. Participants learn how to use effective homeopathic methods to ease first aid symptoms. No prior knowledge of homeopathy is required.
Each course participant is provided with two high-quality books:
-
our standard Comprehensive First Aid manual (or, if preferred, Childcare First Aid manual) that serves as a practical quick-reference guide to first aid emergencies and contains relevant information and practical tips on the various topics covered during the course; and
-
“think… Homeopathy. The Handbook for Home Use and First Aid” by Maureen Johnson, a guide book for people who want to know a little more about homeopathy than just when to use Arnica. It includes chapters on the origin of homeopathy, some necessary philosophy, how to store remedies, substances that may cause antidoting, basic guidelines for acute prescribing, and a comprehensive Materia Medica with clear sections outlining the main acute complaints the remedy covers, symptoms, modalities and the ‘picture'.
The course fee is $195.
We teach our Integrated Traditional and Homeopathic First Aid Course on demand.
