Tailored First Aid Course

While meeting compliance requirements and a high standard of teaching our courses are underpinned by the desire to provide every individual with relevant and practical training that provides them with the skills and confidence to cope in emergency situations.  To achieve these goals we consult with you in order to get clear ideas about your specific needs and training requirements. We then combine our expertise in First Aid training with research findings and the knowledge and experience of experts in the various domains to develop tailored relevant First Aid courses.

All tailored courses are OSH recognised and NZQA accredited.  The course is designed to motivate and equip a person with the skills necessary to be a confident first responder in a variety of situations as well as situation relevant to their environment. Furthermore, the course raises participants' awareness of safety and enhances their ability to prevent accidents from ocurring. Attendees are trained to a high standard of patient care with both instructor and peer assessment throughout the course.  We focus our teaching on real life situations and use practical scenario work to enable attendees to gain competency with the various First Aid techniques and become proficient in the management of emergency situations.

 

NZQA Credits

The Unit Standards associated with this course can include:

  • 6400 - Manage first aid in emergency situations (level 3, 2 credits)
  • 6401 - Provide first aid (level 2, 1 credit)
  • 6402 - Provide resuscitation level 2 (level 1, 1 credit)

We can register these credits on your NZQA Record of Learning, if you provide us with your NZQA number.  If you do not yet have an NZQA Record of Learning, we can tell you who to contact for this.

 

Schedule and booking

Tailored courses are arranged by request.  We will need a few weeks notice of your preferred course date as we will need to meet with you and discuss your specific requirements.

The course can be taught at your premises or ours over one or more days.  A travel fee may apply to courses taught outside Hamilton.
